President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro attended the 61st meeting of Bersaglieri held in Salerno. During the parade, joined by more than 20 thousand members of the Corps coming from the whole Italy, Mr. Caldoro said: “Bersaglieri are beloved by Italians” and their meeting is “a great occasion that took place in the South”. Furthermore, the Governor recalled “their history and the peace keeping missions” carried out and he emphasized that “as the Italian flag, Bersaglieri unite and in such a crisis moment, we need to be united“

On box seat there were Chief of the Italian Army Claudio Graziano, Mayor of Salerno and Vice-Minister for Transport and Infrastructures Vincenzo De Luca, and the representatives of the Municipalities of the province. During the ceremony, a thankful message sent by President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano to the Corps of Bersaglieri on behalf of Italians was read.
