The Prefettura of Caserta Single Contracting Party, through the Superintendence of Public Works for Campania and Molise, announced the call for tender concerning the first part of works envisaged by the Major project Blue Flag of the Domitian Coast.

The Project, that will adhere to the Legality Memorandum signed with the Prefettura of Caserta, deals with the functional section concerning the interventions in the Municipalities of Mondragone, Castelvolturno and Villa Literno for approximately 36 million Euros. Submissions to be delivered by next 27 August. The announcement was sent to the European Official Journal.

Regional Minister for Public Works of Campania, Edoardo Cosenza who also handles the strategic coordination of Major Projects, as appointed by President Caldoro said: “Works play a key role for purification of Domitian coast: interventions concern sewage collector system and their connection to existing purification plants”.

Arcadis, the Regional Agency for Soil Conservation, as implementing party, will follow the works.

Mr. Cosenza explained: “This is the first major project financed by 2007-2013 European funds concerning purification and it is really significant that it will improve one of the areas with the largest development potential among Campania and national territories”. President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro added: “We answer concretely to upgrade a strategic area and the whole Campania”.
