Food Safety, Caldoro: “The food on our table is definitely safe”
New labs for food inspections at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno in Portici. President of Regione Campania, Stefano Caldoro, and the Institute’s Commissioner Antonio Limone cut their ribbon.
The opening occurred during a meeting, arranged by the Istituto Zooprofilattico, about “#compriAMO campano” (Let’s buy and love Campania products) event. During the debate, chaired by the Director of the Denaro, Alfonso Ruffo, the projects of Regione concerning food checks and the protection of Campania agricultural and food products (such as QR Code and Campania Sicura projects) have been shown and disclosed.
President Caldoro pointed out: “The Istituto Zooprofilattico is an excellence, a referral centre for all consumers. This is how we ensure the best food quality. The food that reaches our tables is definitely good. In the worst emergency moment, everybody has played its role, including consumers. Our reaction capacity has been the first element to guarantee Campania products”.
Mr Limone stated: “Campania has to release itself from unjustified blames. We are not the land of poisons and every day, we carry on our work to give the Regione a flawless ticket to bring next year to the Milan’s Expo”.
