President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro attended the presentation in Aversa of PIU Europa Aversa “Towards Future”, the investment programme that involved 19 Municipalities in Campania, and he stated: “We build a network able to make cities live and we do it by funding quality projects”.

Recovery and upgrading of green areas of Parco Pozzi, Piazza Marconi, restoration of the Chiesa dello Spirito Santo and of the parvises of local Churches, completion of works of Casa Cimarosa, restricted traffic areas and Bike Sharing implementation, besides the planning of an optic fibre network for Wi-Fi and video surveillance: these are a few actions funded by the ERDF Operational Programme for the period 2007-2013 for the city of Aversa for approximately 23 million €.

Planned actions and work sites already active to fulfil aims such as the promotion of the historical identity of the City and its iconic places, the opening of Institutions and Universities for the City in order to enhance their role as local driving force and development, the promotion of debate through active citizenship, schools, in order to enhance governance and social capital.

Among others, Mayor of Aversa Giuseppe Sagliocco attended the presentation about the progress of projects and work sites.
