The call for the development of broadband in Campania has been published. The deadline for offers is 1 pm on 20 September 2013.

Following the Programme Agreement signed between Regione Campania and the Ministry of Economic Development, the Call for the first action of broadband development through the realisation of public fiber-optic infrastructures in the areas affected by digital divide in Campania.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is 1.00 pm of 20 September 2013.

The selection procedure is managed by Infratel Italia S.p.A. via an online platform accessibile at www.gareinfratel.it

The call is financed with the funds ROP-ERDF Campania 2007-2013 for a total amount of 18,5 million Euros, and it places itself within the National Plan for Broadband.

The aim, through the realisation of various actions planned by Regione Campania, is to eliminate the digital divide (concerning 3,6% of Campania’s population) by 2015.
