Summer School at Tarì, Caldoro: “Fashion and Jewellery, Two Sectors of Excellence for Campania”

A ‘Summer School’ to train Pattern Makers, professionals able to create patterns based on the designer’s sketches. A training project of the Tarì of Marcianise presented at the Sala Giunta of Palazzo Santa Lucia.

President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro, Regional Minister for Employment Severino Nappi, Regional Minister for Research Guido Trombetti, Chairman of the Fondazione Tarì Fulvio Tessitore and President of the Tarì Gianni Carità attended the conference.

The 2013 edition of this Summer School envisages 10 scholarships funded by Regione Campania to be granted to under 30 Campania graduates. The intensive three month course will be attended in Sweden and at the Training School of the Tarì located in Marcianise.

Besides the Summer School, the Fondazione Tarì has concluded the “fashion and jewellery master’s degree– back to craftsmanship”, to bring students to the companies of the fashion, jewellery and design sector.

“This initiative addresses young people of two extraordinary sectors such as fashion and jewellery. Two sectors where Campania led the way”.

Mr. Trombetti continued: “An effective way to combine advanced training with the world of work”.
