The Integrated Project of Tourism Port-related Activities aims at shaping a coordinated port infrastructure network in order to:

•Promote regional economy and tourism;

•Promote nautical tourism and sea-land intermodal systems and services;

•Protect, safeguard and promote environment and landscapes, as well as monuments and submarine and land archaeological assets;

•Foster navigation safety;

•Establish and re-functionalise economic activities;

•Develop employment.

Moreover, the system aims at increasing the sector skills and triggering private investments. Feasibility studies that will be presented and drafted in accordance with the guidelines for yachting port-related activities approved by the Regional Executive Board last October, will be assessed according to their capability to fulfil the general aims of the yachting port-related activities integrated system.
