Premio Ischia, Gruber and Mollica on the Podium

At Lacco Ameno the award ceremony of the Ischia International Journalism Award. On the podium, Lydia Cacho Ribeiro, Lilli Gruber, Emanuela Audisio, Francesco Guerrera, Franca Giansoldati, Alessandro Di Meo, Isabella Bufacchi, Vincenzo Mollica, Luciano Onder. Special guest Edoardo Bennato. Event hosted (live on Sky TG24 Eventi) by Paola Saluzzi.

Four days, from 4 to 6 July, to discuss about information, with exhibitions, debates, meetings and journalism lessons. “Duty to inform, duty to know” was the theme chosen for the 34th edition of the Award.

Social space with Sogno cose mai viste, the photographic exhibition realized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of human rights, in cooperation with the Robert Kennedy Foundation and the Agenzia fotografica Contrasto. Homage was paid to Alessandro Di Meo of Ansa, who captured the lightening falling on San Peter’s dome on the day of Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation.

The schedule of the Award was dense. The alarm clock ringed early for “Un caffè con”, a Sky TG24 programme hosted by Paolo Chiariello, guest the President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro. At 12 pm RaiEducational “Pillole”, moderated by Giovanni Paolo Fontana, with Gaspare Borsellino, director of Italpress, Marco Demarco, director of Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Francesco Delzio, author of the book La Scossa. In the afternoon the protagonist was the economic information, with the debate of Sky TG24Economia hosted by Alessandro Marenzi. Also the prize “Communicators of the year” was scheduled. In the evening it was the time for “Una vita per la notizia”, the meeting moderated by the Sky tg24 international affairs manager Renato Coen.
