Bad Weather, Civil Protection in Campania

The Civil Protection Department of Regione Campania, led by Edoardo Cosenza, reports about an expected weather warning due to rainfalls and thunderstorms from tonight and tomorrow.

The Operations Room already issued a warning notice for bad weather conditions and criticalities for the hydrogeological and hydraulic risk due to heavy rainfalls that will be stronger over the Sorrento and Cilento coasts.

A special attention is required for those areas recently hit by thunderstorms in order to prevent hydrogeological and hydraulic risk.   

The disturbance, approaching from the sea, will hit initially the coastal area of Campania, especially in the first hours of tomorrow morning.

The regional Operations Room will monitor the evolution of the situation and recommends the relevant authority to implement all required measures for the protection of local areas and to prevent risks resulting from natural disasters.
