‘Digital X Italia’ Meeting, Caldoro: “Fast Internet, Cutting-Edge Campania ”

President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro participated in the panel session “The main characters of the local innovation”, during the ‘Digital X Italia’ event about the future of digital innovation held on 3 and 4 October at the Quisisana Hotel in Capri. Francois de Brabant (President of Between), Stella Targetti (Vice president of Regione Toscana) and several representatives from the ICT institutional and business world attended the meeting arranged by Between.

The Governor said that “Campania participates in the major national programme of the Digital Agenda” and recalled the effort made to “completely finance with European funds the broad and ultra-broad band coverage on the whole regional area with an approximate 200 million € investment”. Mr Caldoro pointed out that Campania is at the forefront concerning the optic fibre and concluded by stating a further aim, namely “the diffusion and spread of knowledge about this major infrastructure, not only to the public administration, but also to citizens, since they hold the right to use it”.
