Online Medical Library, Caldoro: “Continuous Training is Good, Now Let’s Restart Turnover”

From 1 January 2014 all Medical doctors of Naples and its province will have the possibility to consult the most important and remarkable international studies and researches in several fields online. The Association of Medical Doctors, Surgeons and Dentists of Naples and its province led by Bruno Zuccarelli launched this project: they decided to invest in training and high education and specialisation sharing with the members the most important virtual library available online. President of the Regional Campania Executive Board Stefano Caldoro after the official launch of the service, held at the auditorium of the Offices of the Association of Neapolitan MDs stated: “A very good intuition since it gives MDs a continuous training with one of the richest world data bank. I think that broader platforms may be built on such initiatives, implemented also through European funds”. He also said he welcomes the restart of hiring procedures for healthcare positions. Mr Caldoro pointed out: “Regione Campania has 10 thousand units less for its healthcare staff and this is not the way to build a successful healthcare. We recovered finances and with the commitment of Minister Lorenzin we are working to not let regions with recovery plans be endangered by turnover block”. This is the same for the young researches and hiring procedures in the Southern Universities, since he argues “the accounting vision that hinders University of the South, because they charge lower fees compared to the other Italian regions due to lower incomes of citizens”. Professor Brian Alper, Medical Director of Clinical reference and consumer Health Products of Ebsco and Professor at the Columbia University, and Franco di Bello, Ebsco regional manager, besides President Caldoro and Mr Zuccarelli, attended the event.
