Six finalist aerospace projects have been selected for the tutorial stage that is about to start for the open call Creative Clusters – Aerospace, supported by Regione Campania, through Campania Innovazione; the competition aims at finding the best business sector-related ideas.
The selected designers will participate in four different labs and will meet a tutor weekly. Moreover, they will receive specialized business innovation, start-up and development services (such as guidance, support, finances, technological support, coaching/mentoring, networking).
Project clarity, innovation, technical viability and market appeal are among the criteria used for the selection of the finalists.
Vice President of Regione Campania responsible for Scientific Research Guido Trombetti pointed out: “Through this tutorial and education programme for the selected projects, we foster the promotion and start-up of a new business, we invest in the most valuable capital, our youth, and we award their creative ideas”.
Mr Trombetti ended: “The programme the winners are running for, will allow them to further enhance their skills and guide them for the business start-up. The additional added value is the specific sector, namely aerospace. This is one of the main investment areas that Regione Campania considers strategic for sustainable development and able to foster the creation of new jobs. Through Creative Cluster – Aerospace, we offer new opportunities to the youth and, we invest, at the same time, in the development of the regional areas”.
Regional Minister for Production Activities of Regione Campania Fulvio Martusciello stated: “Aerospace is a leading sector for the regional industrial development: Campania is a quarter of the Italian aerospace sector, on its own. We should focus on a further promotion of this sector that has a lot of opportunities for us. Aerospace means several skills, research centres, universities and businesses: this project addressed our talented citizens to spur them on to take on a path through their brilliant ideas, to present to the market new aerospace business projects”.
Mr Martusciello ended: “The quality and competitive projects, thanks to the support of the most qualified sector-related regional players, will be able to functionally be connected to the Campania aerospace small and big businesses”.
