“Campania is at the forefront for the development of eco-friendly fuels”.
This is what Fulvio Martusciello, Regional Minister for the Productive Activities and Economic Development, said on the occasion of EnergyMed.
“Regione Campania is engaged in the activation of a coordination taskforce of the Regions of Central and Southern Italy, aimed to modernise and increase the natural gas network for cars. “Natural gas – Martusciello continues – is an inexhaustible source of energy, differently from the other sources of energy used so far. For this reason we propose ourselves as the forerunners in the establishment of a taskforce that would develop common orientations for the fuel distribution network on motorways, junctions roads and orbital roads, among the Central and Southern Italy Regions, with the purpose of reaching the subscription of the Agreement already subscribed among Emilia Romagna, Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont with AISCAT, Legambiente and Unione Petrolifera”. Among the objectives of the Agreement, the implementation of natural gas supply points for heavy vehicles on motorways, the renovation of services areas on motorways, the improvement of the efficiency of the network and services for users, also in order to quicken the transformation of heavy vehicles fuel supply from diesel oil to natural gas.
In the first three months of 2013, we have registered, on an overall market of 357.665 fuel distribution plants, 15.191 natural gas-gasoline ones, 2.225 only natural gas ones, and 33.950 LPG ones.
