Environment, the Tribunal says no to the steel industry of Riardo

“We are witnessing an act of extraordinary sensitivity of the Tribunal of Naples”. This is how president Caldoro’s councillor for Productive Activities and Economic Development Fulvio Martusciello comments the decision of the Tribunal, according to which the official receivers appointed for the steel industry sector of the group Ragosta cannot install steelworks in Riardo area.

“As a matter of fact, the Tribunal of Naples – Martusciello adds – has found out that the location of steelworks in the municipality may certainly worsen the aquifer’s conditions, as well as increase the quantity of polluting substances that affect the environment.

A fundamental decision for Campania and an extraordinary signal also for the Province of Caserta”, Martusciello concludes.
