Sound Balance Sheet, Go-Ahead from Rome to Release 287 Million

11/04/2013- The Technical Taskforce to verify the duties fulfilment of the Regione and the standing Committee for the assessment of the Basic Care Levels gathered in a joint session and attested that Regione Campania achieved sound balance sheet.

The Taskforce and the Committee, taking note of the activity carried out by the commissioner administration for the implementation of the payment plan with the purpose of paying previous debts, decided to release bound resources for 2008, 2009 and 2010 for a total amount of 287 million €.

To implement the Commissioner’s decrees concerning the healthcare debt, to date 31 framework agreements about liquidation and payments of previous debts of the single Local Health Units have been signed for a total amount of 1800 million €, thus, with a saving of 150 million.

Moreover, the Taskforce and the Committee welcomed the achievements resulting from the actions concerning local residential and home care network, the remarkable savings from the pharmaceutical expense through the promotion of use and distribution of patent expired medications and similar, the overcoming of difficulties about the role played by Soresa as the main centre for the purchase of goods and services, and from the enhancement of the veterinary healthcare and food safety.

Finally, upon request of Regione Campania about the need of a further restart of turnover to meet legitimate needs of hospitals, the Taskforce and the Committee committed to the speeding up of hiring procedures.

President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro pointed out: “The opinions expressed by the Taskforce and the Committee confirm that we are on the right track”.
