Città della Scienza, go-ahead to CIG (Redundancy Pay) in derogation to employees

The meeting about the situation of Città della Scienza’s personnel took place at the offices of the Regional Administration for Employment of Regione Campania. Attending the works, the Regional Minister Severino Nappi, the trade union confederation representatives of Cgil, Cisl, Uil and Ugl, and of the professional trade unions Filcams, Fisascat and Uiltucs.

For the 68 employees of the premises plus those of the satellite activities, the redundancy pay in derogation until the end of 2013 has been authorised, starting from yesterday.

“We will start contact activities – the Regional Minister Nappi underlined – with the Ministry in order to identify further supporting instruments, which could go beyond the CIG in derogation of regional competency, the only possible measure at the moment. We will accompany the fund with active policies, useful to requalify the staff, in order to further valorise the human resources and the professionals already present within Città della Scienza. In the next days the meetings for the other open issues will continue”, Nappi concludes.
