Generational Handover, Campania first Region in the South

Today the Regional Minister for Employment and Training, Severino Nappi, has presented the framework agreement on the “Staffetta generazionale” (Generational handover), signed with the social parties of Campania, to the press. Beneficiaries of the initiative are old workers who will submit their voluntary application for participating in the programme, and who will possess the requisites for the right to retirement by the 36 months following the application. On the other side, coming in, young unemployed people recipient of internship contracts, aged 18-32, or 35 if graduated.

The contributory integration in favour of the old worker can be a maximum amount of 6.000 Euros per year, while for the hiring of the young intern it will be possible to use the subsidies provided for by the plan “Campania al Lavoro!”. The agreement, which will be realised thanks to the technical assistance of Italia Lavoro, has been signed by a good 37 union and employer names of Campania. This morning the press conference, together with the Regional Minister Nappi, was also attended by the regional secretaries of Cgil, Cisl, Uil and Ugl, and Confindustria Campania.
