Jobs, Nappi Meets German Trade Union DGB

This morning the Regional Minister for Employment and Training Severino Nappi has received a delegation of the major German Union DGB, led by the president of DGB Nord Hamburg Uwe Polkaehn. Joining the meeting also the German national secretaries of the category, Klaus Bullan (school and dual apprenticeship sector), Horst Hopmann (education sector), Heino Bade (aerospace and green economy sector). Also attending, the Cgil Campania general secretary Franco Tavella, promoter of the meeting.

Focus of the works was the experience exchange on active employment policies, education and apprenticeship, as well as interventions related to logistics and ports, productive fields of excellence for both communities.

It has been decided that Campania will host, within institutional agreements, a round table with social parties in order to define topics and instruments for a shared employment policy.

“Following the agreement on apprenticeship between Italy and Germany, sanctioned last November by the two Governments right here in Naples, this morning’s meeting with the major German trade union represents another important step in the internationalisation of the relationships, also with the purpose of building employment and education policies which are necessary for contrasting the crisis”, underlines the Regional Minister for Employment and Education Severino Nappi.

“Regione Campania, for the themes’ and interlocutors’ chosen, candidates itself to be the centre of the relations in the field of employment and development, starting from youth education and employment policies and the experience exchange”, Nappi concludes.
