Micron, Nappi: Proposal about Arzano Unacceptable

Regional Minister for Labour of Regione Campania Severino Nappi stated: "The proposal of Micron about the plant in Arzano is completely unacceptable. Protecting only 7 Campania workers before such high vocational skills, for which the Institutions spent such outstanding resources to be achieved, is just another slap to the reasons of such a difficult area”.  

“Then, we are not allowed to complain about the brain drain if the power of such an excellence plant as the one in Arzano, so technologically advanced, is reduced for the benefit of other Italian plants. This cannot be the meaning of a new labour policy that our country needs”. He concluded: “We call on the Ministry of Economic Development, that is managing this dispute, in order to let it understand and let the others understand that there are not only jobs at stake, but especially the principle according to which quality occupation and valued skills should remain in Campania to favour the rebirth of this land”.
