Finances: Resource Granting to Municipalities and Provinces

As proposed by Regional Minister of Budget Gaetano Giancane, the starting of procedure to grant resources for 2014 to Municipalities and Provinces, namely over 100 million for the former and approximately 34 for the latter, has been established to settle debts resulting from investments.

2013 beneficiaries who did not supply the required certificate of use of resources by 31 January 2014 will be excluded.

 

In details, it has been established the granting of resources in 2014 under the Internal Stability Pact for a total amount of 134,605,091.80 €, namely 100,953,818.55 € for the Municipalities of the Campania region, giving 50 % to Municipalities with a population between 1,000 and 5,000 inhabitants and 50% to Municipalities with a population with more than 5,000 inhabitants, and 33,651,273.25 for the Provinces of the Campania region, to settle debts resulting from investments.

Due to this measure, Regione Campania for 2014 is given a contribution to partially clear its debt of 112,166,423.00 €, of which 28,041,606.00, that is 83.33 % of the resources given to Provinces, and 84,124,817.00 €, that is 83.33 % of the resources given to Municipalities.

Following the granting of resources as stated in the second paragraph, the current programmatic objective for 2014 of Regione Campania is set at 2,192,394,908.20, resulting from the difference between the 2014 current programmatic objective, that is 2,32,000,000.00, established by paragraph 449-bis of the article 1 of the Law 24/12/2012, no. 228 and the share of resources given of 134,605,091.80, of which 100,953,818.55 for Municipalities and 33,651,273.25 for Provinces.

Provinces and Municipalities concerned with the application, shall certify their capacity to face the further capital payments for 2014 corresponding to the resources granted. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility.
