Tesoretto Municipality of Naples, Giancane: "It could Meet Regione’s Claims"

Campania Regional Minister of Budget Gaetano Giancane stated: “We are sorry and happy at the same time about the tesoretto (tax windfall) of 70 million € for investments the Municipality of Naples has. We are sorry because the Stability Pact prevented it from spending it and we are happy because after having made all payments allowed by the Pact, it still has that remarkable sum available.”

Mr. Giancane concluded: “Considering that Regione Campania, in spite of all implemented recovery policies, was not that lucky, since regional situation did not allow us to make the whole expenditure set by the Pact, we wish the Municipality of Naples finds the most appropriate solution to meet regional claims held also against its operating entities”.
