Regione will participate in the BIT, the International Travel Exhibition, to be held in Milan from 14 to 17 February at the Conference Centre of Rho, with 107 exhibitors, such as accommodation facilities, tour operators, travel agencies, tourism businesses, public authorities and associations.
The 510 sq. metre stand of Campania is located in Pavilion 3.
This is where President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro will hold a conference on 15 February to present the America’s Cup event, to be held in Naples from 16 to 21 April. Regional Minister for Tourism and Cultural Heritage Guido Trombetti will attend the event, too.
The promotion activity of Campania will focus on the Festival of Theatre and Campania Artecard, besides the America’s Cup. The VI edition of the Italian Festival of Theatre, to be held from 6 to 23 June will show 7 world premieres and 3 Italian premieres. Among the innovative products on display in Milan, Camapania>Artecard, the tourist card that has being offering services to tourists for over ten years.
The card will be presented with a completely new range of services and sites and will feature two versions: one fully dedicated to the city of Naples and the other for the regional monuments and places of artistic and cultural interest.
Campania will be promoted also thanks to the rich programme of the VI edition of the Italian Festival of Theatre, to be held from 6 to 23 June that will show 7 world premieres and 3 Italian premiers.
The Regione will participate in the BIT thanks to the cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce, as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding with UnionCamere Campania where the co-participation modalities in the event organisation have been set in order to properly support operators in the international and national sector.
Regional Minister for Tourism and Cultural Heritage Guido Trombetti stated: “The International Travel Market is a key display, able to attract over 90,000 visitors: tourists and operators of the sector to whom tours and routes to discover the beauties of Campania should be presented”.
“Through this event, we foster and promote the whole regional territory, its cultural heritage, arts, spa assets, and wine and food traditions. Concerning this sector, Campania has peculiar and unique characteristics we are very proud of all over the world”.
Mr Trombetti concluded: “Our participation in the BIT is also fostering the regional tourism and the businesses network of the sector, that, like all the economic fields, is experiencing a tough crisis”.
