Rimini Travel Trade for Regione Campania

Regione Campania will participate in the 2012 edition of TTI (Travel Trade Italia) that will be held from tomorrow to 20 October. The participation is sponsored and arranged by the Regional Administration for Tourism and Cultural Heritage and is part of the exhibition participation programme of the second semester of 2012.

This action is part of the result of the partnership with Unioncamere Campania signed to strengthen and promote Campania tourism through a more and more successful debate among public institutions concerned with the tourism promotion and the productive system of the regional tourism sector.

A hundred Campania operators will be at the TTI in Rimini, and this means that the number of registrations compared with last year edition is more than doubled.

TTI in Rimini is the leading event to present the incoming offer to national and international buyers: every year 600 tour operators from 60 different countries, that are particularly important for the sale of the so-called Product Italy participate in the exhibition. B2B meetings within the context of a workshop is a consolidated programme that is very welcome by the tour operators since they have concrete possibilities of sales and of regional tourist product offers.

Regione Campania will have a 320 sq. metre stand where business meetings that each operator arranged through a specific online procedure over the exhibition days will be held.

The whole regional tourist offer will be presented in Rimini, through its division in sectors and markets. Moreover, the eleven sector-related guide books of Regione Campania that are a key tool of territorial promotion, and the ten territorial tourist maps will be given. The distribution will be paper and computer based.

The exhibition will be a real ground for the demand and supply to meet. Over the two days of business meetings, buyers will contact the accommodation facilities to build and plan the marketing of Italian tourism in the world market, to learn more about the innovations and to select cutting edge products, new partners and sign new agreements.

Figures do emphasise how successful the event is: over 7000 meetings for the 2011 edition.

Giuseppe De Mita, Regional Minister for Tourism and Cultural Heritage stated: “Participation in Rimini TTI is strongly demanded by the Campania tour operators who see a real possibility of marketing of the regional tourist product in this event. This results in the important figures of participation recorded. And as for this exhibition, we strengthen more and more the partnership with the Chambers of Commerce of Campania, through a shared participation and a constant debate with all the sector-related associations”.

Mr De Mita concluded: “We approach Rimini with more encouraging outlooks, based on data disclosed over the last few weeks, which attest that, as for the hotel accommodation nights, Campania performed the best in the national context, particularly concerning last summer. Today, following the approval of the action plans on training and the upcoming publication of a call for the promotion of cultural heritage, and cultural assets and tourist promotion, we are able to prove we have a more developed and wiser regional tourism system”.
