The Regional Executive Board of Campania confirmed fare allowances for yearly season tickets of the public transport for 2013 too for protected persons as envisaged by regional law no. 15 of 11 August 2005 (people who are visually impaired, disabled, disabled ex-servicemen and disabled of workplace accidents, deaf-mute and legally disabled).
The agreement with the public and private transport companies and the Unicocampania consortium confirmed for 2013 establishes:
· 70% off the yearly season ticket for those entitled applicants with ISEE (equivalent financial situation index) income higher than 6,967, with the beneficiary who will be charged with the remaining sum, and, in any case, not to exceed 200 €.
· 80% off the yearly season ticket for those entitled applicants with ISEE (equivalent financial situation index) income lower than 6,967, with the beneficiary who will be charged with the remaining sum, and, in any case, not to exceed 150 €.
As established by regional laws, those legally disabled people with a degree of disability lower than 100% will be entitled to 80% or 70% discount if, among several criteria, their personal yearly income does not exceed 4,132€.
Finally, the agreement sets forth 95% discount for those applicants listed below, with the beneficiary who will be charged with the remaining sum, and, in any case, not to exceed 50 €:
Regione Campania commits itself to paying, as a fixed rate for every ticket issued, the companies of the Unicocampania Consortium or those public local road transport companies, respectively 260 € and 158,55 per year.
Regional Minister Vetrella stated: “This year too, in spite of all our economic difficulties, we succeeded in ensuring discounts for less lucky citizens. An important social support by Regione, while simultaneously, we are keeping on working every day and with a strong commitment to solving the terrible economic situation of the regional transport companies that we have inherited and that have negative effects on the services rendered to citizens and on workers”.
