Transport, Resources for Eav Workers on their Way

Transport, Resources for Eav Workers on their Way

The 39 million € order of payment to settle local public transport managed by EAV has been signed today. This sum is an advance payment of those 74 million € allocated by the regional Executive Board to Ente Autonomo Volturno, based on the requests submitted by Commissioner Pietro Voci. It will be divided as follows: 23 million and 750 thousand Euros approximately to Ifitalia, by which the relation of transfer of service contracts is terminated, and 15 million to EAV to face promptly the financial needs of the whole group, starting from the payment of salaries.

The resources available will enable to terminate the dependent relation with Istituto di Credito Ifitalia, allowing, for the first time after years, to pay directly contract salaries to EAV Srl, already from next payments. This will mean a remarkable shortening of the time for the money transfer and no additional cost; and it will also ensure resources needed to start debt reduction procedures for key suppliers and the relevant reduction of bank interests.

Regional Minister for Transport Sergio Vetrella stated: “Once more, I realise President Caldoro and regional Executive Board have got an awareness of problems that affect the transport sector. I want to thank also the EAV executives for their cooperation and Acting Commissioner Pietro Voci for his prompt intervention that allowed the upcoming payment of salaries for EAV Srl workers.

This new procedure allows us to have precise times and regular payments both for suppliers and for workers, through the recovery plan and also by carrying on the unscheduled maintenance Plan I started in 2012, releasing month by month, more trains on the network, particularly for the Circumvesuviana railway”.
