Italian Cultural Institute of New York: Young Filmmaker Prize

The Italian Cultural Institute of New York has announced a contest for young Italian filmmakers. For this edition three categories have been considered: full-lenght film, short film and documentary. To apply it is necessary that:

-          have Italian citizenship;

-          be an Italian filmmaker at the beginning of your career, willing to work on a project whose subject is related to intercultural exchanges between US and Italy;

-          each candidate can only participate in one category and submit one film only for that category.

For each category there will be just one winner; the winning full-length film filmmaker will be awarded with a 3.300 dollar scholarship for attending an 8-week screenwriting programme at the New York Film Academy.

To participate you have to submit an application form according to what stated in the call, attaching 2 copies of your cv and 3 copies of the full-length film, short-film or documentary on a NTSC format DVD, and send it to the Italian Cultural Institute of New York (Italian Cultural Institute – 686 Park Avenue – New York, NY 10065 USA).

The deadline for sending your application is 30 September 2012.
