Members of Regional Council Downsizing, Caldoro: “A Good Sign Citizens will Appreciate"

“A good sign citizens will appreciate!” President of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro commented on the downsizing of the Members of the Council (from 60 to 50) and of the Regional Ministers (from 12 to 10) approved, on his own initiative, by the Regional Council of Campania and that will come into force from next term of office. “We keep on simplifying and reducing political costs. A path we started far before than the other Italian regions” Mr. Caldoro continued.

President Caldoro then commented on the big projects: “We cannot miss any of the the big projects: the Port of Naples, and the port activities and services in general are the first employer in Campania but we need a better arrangement of freight handling and people movement” Caldoro pointed out. Moreover, the Governor stressed the need to focus on the port system of the whole region in order to increase GDP and employment”. “A joint action of all institutions, government, social and economic forces is pivotal” Caldoro ended.
