University, Caldoro: “Fifty Million Euros for 1200 students”

Three calls addressing young Campania graduates. One more funding arriving next week. The regional University system gets fresh air with the 50 million € funding for approximately 1200 students of the region.

These were the news presented this morning at the Sala Giunta of Palazzo Santa Lucia, by President of Regione Campania, Stefano Caldoro, and Regional Minister for University and Scientific Research Guido Trombetti. The 7 Deans of the Campania University have attended the meeting.

In details, 30 million € address the PhD programmes to be shared among those Campania Universities that over the last three academic years have offered at least one PhD. 10 million more are for the healthcare specialization grants. Eight million for research fellowships, and last, two millions for vouchers addressing young graduates who are willing to attend second level master’s degree.

“We wanted to give a satisfactory answer to young graduates and the deans congratulated us. We lead the way in Italy with this initiative. We are willing to have highly skilled and trained young people to generate ideas and wealth”.

Mr Trombetti carried on: “This 50 million investment is useful to hold the best talented young people in Campania”.

Lida Viganoni, Coordinator of the Regional Conference of Deans, emphasised: “Investing today in advanced education is a strategic key action”.
