Waste, President Caldoro Visited Ex-Resit Area

Governor of Regione Campania Stefano Caldoro visited the ex-Resit area located in Giugliano, to assess the actions implemented by Regione Campania concerning the reclamation of the whole area where for years industrial toxic waste have been illegally disposed.

President Caldoro stated: "We have to answer citizens concretely and we are doing it; we extinguished burnings and it’s been long time since we have been monitoring all the areas around the concerned lands. We know where to act and we have already started the calls for tender concerning remediation. Now, we immediately need a special law that enables us to start remediation procedures and definitely remove the toxic materials disposed here for years”.

Regional Minister for Agriculture Daniela Nugnes and Regional Commissioner for remediation Mario De Biase, and the local institutional representatives visited the area with the President.
