The Bill for the regional law on competition protection in distributive trade has been presented. The key concepts of the bill have been explained by the President of Regione Campania, Stefano Caldoro, and the Regional Minister for the Productive activities Fulvio Martusciello. Also attending, the regional councillor Pasquale Giacobbe, the president of Confesercenti Campania, Vincenzo Schiavo, and the president of Confcommercio Campania, Maurizio Maddaloni.
The aim of the bill is to promote economic activities, simplify administrative procedures and affirm the principle of freedom in economic activities. Besides the general principles of the law, in the text there are also a proposal for the establishment of a single window for productive activities, and a list of criteria for city planning about the settlement of shops.
Among the objectives of the bill, there are also the growth and protection of employment, the valorisation of trade in historical centres, the liberalisation of promotional sales, and the establishment of a regional observatory on the trade network, which should engage also representatives of local authorities, consumer organisations, trading company and employees. Finally, also considered benefits for peddlers and electronic trade, while, according to the new parameters envisaged for small and medium-sized points of sale, it has also been considered more protection for the citizen client-consumer.
