More than 8 million Euros for Universities planning PhDs at Companies

Regione Campania allocates 8,5 million Euros for the universities of the territory planning PhDs at companies.

In practice, with the allocation of funds to Campania universities on the base of project ideas, PhD scholarships will be distributed to graduates for research projects to be realised at small and medium-sized firms of the territory. The SMEs are accredited in a regional notice board, through a specific announcement, in the sectors agreed with the social parties.

The PhD students who will win the scholarships are selected by the universities; they can choose the company with which to undertake his/her research and training projects among the ones accredited in the regional notice board. In a second moment, a university assessment commission follows the procedure.

Each university, as a single or in groups, can submit a single request including one or more projects for the various PhD schools.

Furthermore, the educational project will have to be developed within a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed by the social parties, stating the sectors and the fields of major interest for the territory for the realisation of the intervention, and the modalities for the identification of a representative of the industrial system for each judging college who can participate in the assessment of the students.
