The PhDs in firms represent a first answer to the problem of young graduates without real possibilities. Through their activation Regione Campania intends to quantitatively and qualitatively strengthen the human potential in research and technology in the territory of Campania, as well as give its contribution to the reinforcement of high-quality universities, in which it is possible to acquire the competencies necessary to trigger virtuous processes for local development, and guaranteeing real occupational possibilities to young people.

The PhD course in firms, as stated in its regulation, is a three-year course, and is a highly structured study and research course. Its peculiarity is represented by the close interrelation among business world, professionals and research organisations, which permits to educate highly qualified professional figures, able to access professional activities also in the business world. In this specific case, the focus is on the SMEs of the region, and it is by them that most part of the course will take place.
