2013 ENIT Award to Stefanie Appel for her Docufilm about Ischia

This year the 2013 ENIT Award for the best publishing product about tourist Italy in German language given for the reportage category has gone to a docufilm about Ischia, dedicated to the great spa centres.

The winner Stefanie Appel, author and director, will be awarded on Tuesday 8 October in Frankfurt on the occasion of the Book Fair. The Jury has emphasised as a reason for the award that the movie is a “love declaration to the island”, a journey through its antiques and its innovations along its attractions, from the sea to the nature, from culture to baths, from Mediterranean lifestyle to good cooking.

Regional Minister for Tourism of Campania Pasquale Sommese sent a congratulation message to the Director.

The Regional Minister wrote: “I am very thankful to you since Campania has been inspirational for you and your work and Ischia was the star of a story that lingers on an extremely beautiful island”.

He concluded: “I am sure that other places of our region may be inspirational for your future works and may grow in the international context, as the so-called green island will further grow after your work”.
