Monte Echia, Regione is ready to Revamp and Promote it

Campania Regional Minister for Tourism and Cultural Heritage Pasquale Sommese participated in the conference arranged by the Parthenope University of Naples to revamp Monte Echia and said: “Give us the structure under a loan for use agreement. The regional Executive Board will fund its upgrading and revamp it, based on a shared route for its use as the headquarters for the Regional Tourist Agency, as set forth by the relevant law that is about to be drafted and being debated today in the Council”.

Mr Sommese pointed out: “This is one of the most important image and postcard concerning the historical, artistic and landscape assets of Naples, and thus, all our efforts to revamp it are worthy being implemented”.

Mr Sommese concluded: “The tourist bias and functions found in the past by Architect Lamont Young have to be emphasised. Monte Echia, together with Villa Ebe and the whole structure, also known as the Collina di Pizzofalcone, are currently left on their own devices. I want to meet representatives from the Municipality of Naples, namely the owner of the assets, and all concerned associations, to find the best solutions to revamp the structure, one of the several open air museums of our city”.
