Social Housing and New Houses, 140 Millions

"The agreement between Regione Campania and ABI (Italian Banking Association) for the grant of loans for housing construction is a decisive response to face the housing emergency and to satisfy the needs of the weak, starting from young couples”. This is how the Regional Minister for Urban Planning and Public Housing ConstructionMarcello Taglialatela commented the agreement reached with the association of banks, thanks to which every buyer, single or as a cooperative, will have access to loans at the same conditions of the others and at the maximum advantage.

The general project considers the construction of about 7,000 houses, of which 1,800 on free market, and the others destined to social housing in favour of weak categories (young couples, low-income families with no property).

The revolving fund made available for financial benefits is equal to 140 millions, of which 40 chargeable to the Government and 100 to Regione, a sum that will move private capital for 1 billion and 400 millions.

“The agreement has been possible thanks to the credibility carried by Regione Campania and to the programme realised. Considered the significant investment that will be realised, the programme will please thousands of citizens who ask for a house, and at the same time the unemployed who will have the opportunity to work in the construction”, Taglialatela concluded.
