600 Million Euros to Municipalities, regional Minister Sommese: “ We Help Municipalities”

The regional financial law by which Regione Campania, among several measures, allocates 600 million Euros for the period 2011-2013 for Municipalities to pay contributions on loans taken out before 31 December 2010 for public works, entered into force with its publication in the Official Journal.

Particularly, resources address projects carried out in application of laws no. 51 (public works and public interest works), no. 42 (sport equipment and facilities), no. 50 (School buildings) and no. 3 (Public works, services and supply).

Although we are experiencing such a difficult situation, we help Campania Municipalities giving them important resources to pay off contributions over loans – Regional Minister for Local Autonomies Pasquale Sommese pointed out.

“It is one more effort Regione makes to solve at least a part of the financial problems of all local authorities”.

Bearing in mind also the partial decentralization of functions and implementation of the latest Government decree that re-shapes institutional organizations, now it is time to look into new paths and tools starting from project financing to build important public works to serve territories – Mr. Sommese concluded.
