New Funds for Upland Authorities, Sommese: “ We keep our commitments”

Regione Campania allocated 17 million Euros to support Upland Authorities.

It is almost 6 million Euros more compared with last year funding of 10 million and 800 thousand Euros.

This additional sum makes the ceiling of the last fund supplied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2009 as revenue contributions reached.  

Resources will cover current expenditures, administrative staff salaries included.

Regional Minister for Local Autonomies of Campania Pasquale Sommese said: “We achieved an important result, in spite of the well-known objective existing financial difficulties”.

We continue on keeping our commitments, ensuring serenity to the employees and we are working on a re-organization of Upland Authorities, being well aware of their key role in the forest and environmental protection, the hydrogeological setting, the promotion of products of the undergrowth and to fight emergencies – Mr. Sommese added.
