Disability, A More Certain Future of Work

Disability, A More Certain Future of Work

Occupational integration and more opportunities for disabled people. These are the priorities of the Regional Advisory Committee for the full social inclusion of disabled people.

Today, in the Sala Giunta, the occasion to show the first results achieved with the attendance of President Caldoro’s advisor on healthcare issues, Raffaele Calabrò, Regional Ministers for Social Policy Ermanno Russo and for Research and Innovation Guido Trombetti and President of the Advisory Committee Giovanni Del Rio.

The aims fulfilled: a portal for disabilities (a pride for the new portal of Regione); monitoring of the quality of services rendered; a sole road for school inclusion of disabled students; supporting “The full re-inclusion of disabled people”, and projects of the Regional Committee such as “Budget di salute” and “Dopo di noi”. But, among the short term projects, Del Rio recalled those concerning job integration and training, that streamline the actions for vulnerable groups.

This is the road that the published notice for “178 work experiences” is following. A six-month training on the job opportunity for 178 disabled people, with a monthly wage of 450.00 €. At the end of this period, if the company hires the disabled worker on a permanent basis within 60 days after the ending of the training, it will receive an economic bonus of 9000.00 € per employee.

An action included in the Regional Plan of Governance for welfare services, that over a year invested approximately 70 million € of European, national and regional funds out of a total allocation of 183 million €.

Mr Calabrò said: “I’m sure that civilization level of a region can be attested also through the attention dedicated to disabled people” And he concluded: “Regione Campania is on the right track to a more certain future for its more vulnerable citizens”.
