Social policies in Campania get stronger and innovated. The Regional Social Plan, approved on proposal by Regional Minister Ermanno Russo, sets the guidelines of social services. There are three areas concerned: policies for family, social and healthcare inclusion, and measures to fight poverty.
The recently approved measure will allow Municipalities that are members of the Territorial Authorities (Ambiti territoriali) to present, in the upcoming weeks, their Local Social Plans. The approval of the Plan also strengthened the FUA (Local Consolidated Fund), set the basic care levels and activated the online social plans.
Regional Minister Russo stated: “Through the approval of the new regional social Plan, Campania obtained a planning and assessment paper that provides territories with certainties concerning social policy and introduced remarkable innovations that let us be more and more consistent with Europe. A very cutting-edge tool, based on local needs, has been displayed; it also strengthened concepts such as the associations of Municipalities (the so-called Ambiti), the Consolidated Fund and the online Social plans.
The Regional Minister stated: “To start the Plan, 70 million € is ready for the three-year 2013-2015, but we are sure more funds will arrive, in addition to these. This confirms that Regione, over these years, has improved its planning skills and its capacity to meet local needs and to fulfil targets that are increasingly consistent with Europe”.
