Land reclamations of Giugliano, tenders for more than 14 million Euros

Tenders related to the urgent works for safety setting and reclamation of the Giugliano area have been published in the European Journal. These tenders have an overall value of 14.5 million Euros.

These tenders are provided for by the activity committed to Sogesid by the Government Commissioner for the land reclamation and water tutelage emergency of Giugliano and Laghetti (small lakes) of Castelvolturno, Mario De Biase. They concern, in particular, the land reclamation of the dump site Novambiente (for a value 6 million 111 thousand Euros); the emergency safety setting of the dump areas of Ampiamento Masseria del Pozzo – Schiavi (with a starting price of 8 million 306 thousand Euros) and the entrustment of pick-up service, transportation and disposal of percolate produced in the unsorted solid waste dumps “Ampiamento Masseria del Pozzo – Schiavi”, for the total amount of 39,527 Euros.

“The three tenders – declared the Regional Minister for the Environment, Giovanni Romano – go together with the one already started, related to the safety setting of the ex-Resit area in Giugliano. For the tenders related to Novambiente and Masseria del Pozzo, the call includes also the executive planning”.

“We are keeping the commitments – Commissioner De Biase said – made on the occasion of the visits of the President Caldoro and the Regional Minister Romano. We’ll forge ahead to guarantee the beginning of the works as scheduled. In particular, the deadline for the submission of applications for the calls related to the ex-Resit is next 9 September, and we aim to make the works begin by December”.
