Separate Collection, Funding to Municipalities Gets Go-Ahead

The management decrees to fund Municipalities for the implementation of municipal plans for waste separate collection have been published in the Official Journal of Regione Campania (BURC). The following Municipalities have been included in the measure: Carbonara di Nola (21,600 €), Avella (77,820 €),), Siano (128,100 €) and Caserta (1,187,690 €).

Moreover, the proposed settlement decrees for the Municipalities of Teggiano (for a total of 56,901 €) and Giffoni Valle Piana (57,154.40 €) have been published.

Regional Minister Giovanni Romano pointed out: “These are only some of the measures that confirm the continued commitment that the Regional Executive Board makes for the environment and, especially, the support of separate collection. Campania is the first Italian region to draw an Operational Plan for waste reduction. We are very proud to state that, in spite of all the system weakness points and the several environmental criticalities, the positive attitude of a Campania that daily participates with all its institutions in the correct waste management cycle emerged”.
